Convenient, wholesome protein is one the most difficult things to incorporate into a busy and active lifestyle, but is also one the most important.
Where your food comes from is important, and what goes into making the purest whey protein available is just as important as what does not. NorCal Organic Whey Protein starts with the finest raw ingredients and does as little to them as possible.
We start by working with farmers who believe in the welfare and humane treatment of their animals. Our farmers' cows are a heritage breed called Jersey cows. These cows graze year-round on fresh pasture of clover, rye, and other native grasses.
The milk they produce is naturally high in conjugated linoleic acid (CLA's), lactoferrin and immunoglobulins. Our USDA Organic Certification is our guarantee to you that our cows have never been given hormones, antibiotics, steroids, or genetically modified feed (GMO).
For the process to convert liquid whey to a powdered form, we use industry leading techniques of cold-processed microfiltration and small batch drying to ensure the most nutrient dense protein.
Each bag is hand packed under the direction of a certified organic processor. Our packaging is done in an environmentally conscious facility. Once packed, our bags are shipped directly to you.
To meet the request of our customers who use our NorCal Organic Whey Instant protein, we add less than 1% organic sunflower lecithin (not soy lecithin) to allow for the protein to mix instantly in any liquid. Our NorCal Organic Whey Classic protein contains no lecithin and mixes best when blended in a blender.

Dear NorCal Organic Customer,
We have always been a company focused on providing the highest quality products to our customers. This includes our packaging. Recently we started using a new type of bag with the goal of reducing the amount of plastic we use. This was based on our company's environmental goals as well as many customer requests.
The new bags have an inner bag that protects the ingredients inside from air and moisture. The second layer of the bag, instead of using a plastic, we chose to use a paper based layer made from wood pulp. This reduced the plastic in our bags by 60%. Unfortunately, we have heard from a number of customers that this new bag is not durable enough and they have received bags that were damaged in shipping.
First, we apologize if you have been one of the customers that has received a damaged bag. Second, we are working as quickly as we can to bring back our previous bag packaging that provided the durability needed for our product to survive what can be a rough shipping experience.
Please reach out to us if you have received a damaged bag so we can take care of this.
Thank you for your understanding and patience, we will work as quickly as we can to correct this.
Thank you for your support.
